本種は本州北部から本州中部の山地でトネリコ属の葉から得られている。旧北区に広く分布するD. ornatusに非常によく似ており同種の可能性がある。

This species is obtained from the leaves of the genus Fraxinus [Oleaceae] in the northern part of Honshu to the mountainous areas of central Honshu, Japan. It is very similar to a Palaearctic species, D. ornatus, and may be of the same species.
